We are a leading Chemical Distribution Company specializing in industrial chemicals, serving key sectors like manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and agrochemicals. We are seeking an experienced General Manager of Operations to oversee end-to-end operations, including Logistics, Warehouse, Finance, IT, and HR/GA, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership:
- Manage all aspects of chemical distribution: warehousing, transportation, inventory.
- Ensure compliance with chemical safety regulations.
2. Departmental Oversight:
- Finance: Direct financial planning, budgeting, cost control, and working capital optimization.
- IT: Oversee ERP/WMS systems, digital transformation.
- HR/GA: Lead recruitment, performance management, training, and general administration.
3. Strategic Growth:
- Develop strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and expand market reach.
- Implement data-driven tools (ERP, BI analytics) for operational visibility.
4. Team & Compliance:
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams (Logistics, Finance, IT, HR/GA).
- Ensure adherence to safety (QHSE), regulatory, and corporate policies.
5. Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and government.
Requirements
1. Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Logistics, or Business Management; MBA preferred.
2. Experience:
- 10+ years in operations management, with 5+ years in chemical distribution.
- Proven leadership of Finance, IT, and HR/GA teams in a distribution/manufacturing setting.
3. Technical Skills:
- Expertise in chemical logistics regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP (SAP/Oracle), WMS, and financial modeling.
4. Soft Skills:
- Strong decision-making, negotiation, and crisis management abilities.
