Indonesia’s shrimp farming industry continues to grow rapidly, serving as a key driver of coastal economies and a major contributor to national seafood exports. Yet, behind this tremendous potential lie persistent challenges, from declining pond water quality and disease outbreaks to the urgent need for more efficient and sustainable farming practices.
To address these issues, Bahtera Adi Jaya once again reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the national aquaculture industry through its participation in the Banyuwangi Shrimp Fair 2025, held from October 14–16, 2025, at eL Hotel Banyuwangi.
A Major Collaboration Hub for Indonesia’s Shrimp Industry
As one of the country’s biggest aquaculture events, Banyuwangi Shrimp Fair 2025 brought together shrimp farmers, distributors, and technology providers to exchange knowledge and showcase the latest innovations in shrimp farming.
This year’s event championed the spirit of collaboration and sustainability. Through exhibitions, technical discussions, and conferences, participants explored ways to boost shrimp pond productivity while maintaining the health of aquatic ecosystems.
Bahtera Adi Jaya presented an eye-catching booth under the theme: “Integrated Solutions for Smarter & Healthier Aquaculture.”
The Bahtera booth drew significant attention from shrimp farmers across East Java and beyond. Visitors engaged directly with Bahtera’s technical team, discussing common challenges such as water quality management, feed efficiency, and shrimp disease control—all key factors in shrimp pond success.
Collaboration with Global Partners: Adisseo, Blue Aqua, and Wutamaz
Bahtera’s presence in Banyuwangi this year was further strengthened through collaboration with Wutamaz as its retail distributor, and two globally recognised principals in aquaculture nutrition and technology: Adisseo and Blue Aqua.
This partnership underscored Bahtera’s evolving role, not just as a supplier of raw materials and additives, but as a strategic partner bringing science-based, innovative solutions to support sustainable shrimp farming in Indonesia.
Beyond the exhibition, Bahtera also participated in the event’s Conference Session, attended by academics and key industry players. On that occasion, Martha Mamora from Adisseo delivered a presentation titled:
“Responsible and Traceable Feed Additive as a Support Function in Shrimp Production Indonesia: An Important Requirement for International Certification.”
Her presentation highlighted the importance of using responsible and traceable feed additives as part of the path toward achieving international certifications such as ASC and BAP, standards now seen as benchmarks for sustainable shrimp exports.
The key message was clear: sustainability in shrimp production is not only about harvest outcomes but also about transparency in supply chains and environmental accountability.
Strong Enthusiasm from Shrimp Farmers
Throughout the three-day event, the Bahtera booth became one of the busiest interaction points. Many shrimp farmers visited to consult on real-world challenges such as pH imbalance, low dissolved oxygen levels, and plankton fluctuations that impact water quality and shrimp growth.
Through a hands-on, educational approach, Bahtera’s technical team offered direct guidance on water management, nutrition, and biosecurity. Rather than simply showcasing products, Bahtera emphasised the importance of systemic understanding of pond ecosystems, from microorganisms to feed dynamics, from water quality to shrimp immunity.
The response from visitors was overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating Bahtera’s commitment to knowledge-sharing and practical support for improving farm efficiency and productivity.
Bahtera’s Leading Solutions for Healthier and More Efficient Shrimp Ponds
At Banyuwangi Shrimp Fair 2025, Bahtera showcased its range of flagship products from Adisseo and Blue Aqua, designed to meet the real-world needs of modern shrimp farmers.
Sanacore (by Adisseo)

An innovative feed additive that enhances shrimp immunity against pathogens while improving feed conversion ratio (FCR). Sanacore contains natural immunostimulants that help shrimp cope with environmental stress and disease challenges, without relying on antibiotics.
MinGro (by Blue Aqua)

A water treatment solution enriched with essential minerals that shrimp can absorb directly from the pond water. MinGro supports osmoregulation, boosts natural plankton growth, and maintains ecological balance. The result: more stable water quality, reduced stress, and optimal shrimp growth.
FytoGro (by Blue Aqua)

A nutrient formulation that promotes the growth of beneficial plankton and bacteria, stabilising the micro-ecosystem within the pond. By improving the biological balance of pond water, FytoGro helps reduce organic waste and creates a healthier, more productive environment over time.
Bahtera Adi Jaya’s participation in Banyuwangi Shrimp Fair 2025 reaffirms the company’s role as a trusted partner for Indonesian shrimp farmers, not only by providing high-quality products, but also by helping build efficient, healthy, and eco-friendly pond systems.
With continued support from Adisseo and Blue Aqua, Bahtera strengthens its position as a leading provider of integrated aquaculture solutions, combining nutritional science, water management, and sustainable innovation to shape a stronger future for Indonesia’s aquaculture industry.
