On Friday, September 18, 2026, Bahtera Adi Jaya held the Soft Opening Ceremony of The Bahtera, its new building in BSD. More than simply marking the opening of a new workplace, the event became a moment for employees to come together, celebrate a new chapter, and reflect on the journey that brought Bahtera to where it is today. 

The event was attended by Bahtera employees and featured a series of activities, starting with a welcome and remarks from management, followed by the building blessing ceremony, tumpeng cutting, and ribbon cutting to officially mark the opening of The Bahtera. 

 

A Building with Meaning 

During the event, a video featuring Commercial Director Daniel Gunnar explained the story and philosophy behind the design of The Bahtera. 

The building's shape was inspired by a ship's sail, reflecting the name and spirit of Bahtera Adi Jaya. Like a ship that continues to sail through different conditions toward a better destination, the design represents Bahtera's belief in continuing to move forward regardless of the challenges along the way. 

The building was also designed to allow plenty of natural light to enter the space. The light represents inspiration, reflecting the hope that everyone in the Bahtera family can bring positive inspiration to the people around them. 

The choice of colors also carries its own meaning. The neutral tones of the exterior and the warm colors of the interior represent Bahtera's aspiration to remain relevant wherever and whenever it operates, while creating a warm environment for its employees and partners. 

In this way, The Bahtera is not simply a new building. Its design reflects values and aspirations that are closely connected to how Bahtera Adi Jaya sees its journey forward. 

Celebrating Together as One Bahtera Family 

Following the formal ceremonies, the atmosphere became more relaxed and lively with several activities prepared for the employees. 

One of the highlights was a Kahoot quiz, featuring questions about Bahtera Adi Jaya. Beyond being a fun activity, the quiz gave employees an opportunity to revisit their knowledge about the company while competing with their colleagues in a lighthearted way. 

 

Employees also had the opportunity to capture the moment at the photo booth prepared for the event. The photo booth activity gave employees a chance to take pictures and create memorable moments together. 

 

Looking Toward 2030 

The celebration closed with an activity that invited every employee to look beyond the opening of the new building and think about the future of Bahtera Adi Jaya. 

Each employee was given a piece of paper to complete the statement: 

“In 2030, Bahtera will be…” 

 

The activity invited employees to share their hopes and aspirations for what Bahtera Adi Jaya could become by 2030. Each response represented a personal perspective, but together, they reflected the collective hopes of the people who are part of Bahtera's journey. 

The Soft Opening of The Bahtera therefore became more than a ceremony to introduce a new workplace. It was a moment to celebrate where Bahtera has come from, where it stands today, and the aspirations it carries toward the future. 

As the journey continues, The Bahtera stands as a new space for the people of Bahtera Adi Jaya to work, collaborate, share ideas, and create new memories together. Like a ship continuing to sail toward a new destination, The Bahtera marks the beginning of another chapter in the journey ahead.
