Indonesia Cosmetic Ingredients 2026 once again returned as one of Indonesia’s leading beauty and cosmetics industry events. Held from 6–8 May 2026 at JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta, this year’s event became the stage for Bahtera Adi Jaya to introduce skincare concepts tailored to today’s skin challenges, from urban pollution to the rising concerns around sensitive skin among urban communities. 

Together with our principals, BASF and Senses, Bahtera Adi Jaya presented “Modern Skin Sanctuary,” a holistic approach that brings science, innovation, and sustainability under one roof within a complete skincare ecosystem. 

What Is Urban Skin and Why Does It Matter? 

Urban skin refers to skin that faces daily exposure to environmental stressors commonly found in city life, such as air pollution, UV rays, and oxidative stress caused by fast-paced modern lifestyles. Over time, these factors can leave skin looking dull, dry, irritated, and can even disrupt the skin microbiome balance beneath the surface.

On Friday, 8 May 2026, Ni Ling Kuo, Regional Marketing Manager, Hair Body Oral Care APAC at BASF, discussed the future of multi-benefit cleansing technology powered by Plantapon® Amino ASP. The lively Q&A session reflected the industry’s growing appetite for premium cleansing ingredient innovations. 

Lab Formulation: Hands-On Experiments with Plantapon® Amino ASP 

  
Two days earlier, Bahtera Adi Jaya and BASF held an exclusive lab session led by Endang Yuniarti, Application Technology Personal Care at BASF. Participants rolled up their sleeves and created their own Plantapon® Amino ASP-based product samples — and to top it all off, they were able to bring their creations home. 

Three Interactive Experiences at the Bahtera Adi Jaya Booth 

One of the biggest crowd-pullers at the Bahtera Adi Jaya booth was its trio of interactive experiences, which kept visitors coming back from day one until the curtain call.

Visitors could analyse their skin condition using advanced skin analysis technology and see the impact of UV exposure through a UV Camera.
  1. Well-Proven Corner 
At this corner, visitors were invited to “See it, test it, prove it!” through live product demonstrations, prototype formulations, and real-time testing experiences. 
  1. Personalized Memento 
Senses added a personal touch by allowing visitors to design their own patch hanger and receive a solid perfume to take home as a keepsake.
